Download a FEMA Flood Panel
listIcon Click on the "Select FEMA Panels" button.

listIcon The "Select FEMA Panels" button will now have a red border and the mouse cursor will now be a green selector. Click on the map to find a FEMA flood panel to download.
listIcon Mouse over the panel name to see pop-up with download link, if available.

Generate Report for Area of Interest
Make sure that the "Select FEMA Panels" button is off (has a black border instead of red).
To draw an area (polygon):
listIcon Click on Draw Mode button then draw the area of interest on the map. Left-click draws corners and right-click closes the polygon and selects the area. Enter the Title and press "Report."
To select a tax lot:
listIcon Click on "Oregon Taxlots" under "Map Layers".
listIcon Hold down the Shift key and click on the taxlot.
To select a point:
listIcon Right-click on location on map, this will automatically generate report. (Note: Make sure to zoom into specific location of interest.)

ABOUT THE HAZARDS REPORTER

The purpose of the Hazards Reporter is to provide landowners, planners, agency staff and interested citizens with information on hazards. Use this tool to generate and produce hazard reports for specific areas of interest. The tool includes the ability to search tax lots (where available), search based on address, or search based on the user-generated boundary (polygon).

This map viewer uses authorized maps from multiple state and federal agencies for coastal erosion, landslides, floodplains, ground shaking areas, faults, and wildfire risk areas. However, there are areas of the state for which maps or related information was not available.

STEPS FOR USING THE HAZARDS REPORTER
  1. Known to work well in Mozilla Firefox version 3.x or greater or Internet Explorer version 7 or greater.
  2. To find a location, enter the address or place name in “Find on Map” box.

    For example, "Corvallis" or "122 Valley Library, Corvallis"

    This will zoom the map within the general area of the address. If you do not have any address information or are unable to get to the correct location using address, use the zoom and pan tools or the Oregon Taxlots layer to locate your area of interest.

  3. Map layers are displayed by clicking on each of the hazards located to the left of the map. Always click the “+” to see a legend and determine what information a map layer is displaying. Where appropriate, i.e. when zoomed in, you can click on the name of the hazard to use the “transparency” slider to see the background images behind the map layers.
  4. To generate a report:
    1. right-click on a location on the map; or
    2. select a tax lot by holding down the Shift key and click on the tax lot; or
    3. click on the Draw Mode button, and drawn an area of interest. Left click draws corners and right click selects the area.

    If you right-click on a location or select a tax lot, this will automatically generate a report. If you chose an area of interest in Draw Mode, then enter the Title and press “Report.”
