Abstract:
This data layer is a derived data product of the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality's designated aquatic life fish use maps in OAR-340-041-101 to -340.
Purpose:
Location of deignated aquatic life fish uses for categories "Core cold water" and "Bull Trout Spawning and Juvenile Rearing" in Oregon for Clean Water Act purposes.
Supplemental Information:
The hydrographic data for this data set is in the NHD-high resoltion 1:24,000 scale following the Oregon GIS Framework. Oregon's officially designated fish use maps are included in the Oregon Administrative Rules OAR-340-041-101 to -345. The official fish use maps were originally developed at 1:100,000-scale using the StreamNET hydrography dataset (https://www.streamnet.org/). This shapefile datset makes a 1:1 conversion of the fish uses designated on the previous hydrography into the 1:24,000 scale NHD high dataset to allow intrechangeability of the fish use designations with the Oregon GIS framework.
